BELIEVE IN WHAT?

I have the time to read, write and learn.  Not living in the U.S. has allowed me the luxury of no TV and no news.  Unfortunately I do get HUFFINGTON POST.  They clearly misrepresent the news but that is an agenda that I watch.

After watching the latest video of 911 with the latest twist (I am waiting for the interviews of the people who planted the explosives) I decided to see what other propaganda I  watch. Incidentally I  do not accept the planted bomb theories for two reasons.  1. There is a long history that validates that no federal program has ever worked.  2. Rosie O’Donnell believes it’s true.  Enough said.

So today I read that the Engel kidnapping was a ruse to get the U.S. involved in the Syrian conflict.  Luckily our strong, well informed U.S. foreign policy caught that  (sarcasm insert here)  This journalism scandal on the heels of the Brian Williams “I am Rambo” lie leads me to have faith in no news organization.

There is a definite trend of the wheels falling off the liberal express.  This coincides with my belief that there is only one party – THE MONEY PARTY. Stop looking at the person you are told to despise as the enemy.  You can’t believe any news group, you know the administration is LIE CENTRAL and you scratch your head.  Better yet, start with a fact.  You might find that putting a few of them together will end with you having to face the TRUTH.

Attack your local government.  Start at the grass roots and work up to the county, then the state, then the Feds.

Now I will try a totally unrelated link. news@brasschecktv.com news@brasschecktv.com  I got both the link button and the direct URL from a flaming liberal but he has some good information although he doesn’t practice what he says.  It’s called How To Save Your Life

ANOTHER GO!

I wrote everyday and posted and yet I still held back.  I am trying to keep pace with the technology and balance the research with the writing.  For example, one morning I opened my email and started going through all the information and then it was past midnight.. I read about Bible prophecies, the end times, Edward Snowden interviews, riots in the U.S., Israeli policies, US policies, Russian policies, the economic meltdown, and I came to several conclusions.

First I have to limit my internet time, excluding all entries that end with the purchase of a book would be a start.  Second, news reporting is a video daily book and I must stop looking at the slanted news.  These two rules would effectively have given me my day back.  But I wouldn’t have anything to write about because people read these things.

So I decided to pick each topic as it comes to my attention and place it under the logical fallacy microscope.  The benefits would be as follows.  I might figure out how to view my comment section better as it seems to come and go.  Secondly I plan to learn how to link some of these articles and videos I see and learn to put in pictures.

I plan another month of posting and learning.  One thing I noticed about my opinions.  When a commenter disagreed I did not challenge the thought process as I did not want to get into a thread of comments that make each of us dig deeper into our positions.  I gladly accepted the opinion or difference of opinion and liked when the opinion had a link or reference to a logical reason or position.

I have a flash to the movie SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION when  the prisoner, Andy Dufresne, tells the warden that he(the warden) is being obtuse.  And of course he was not being obtuse, he was defending his interest.  It all seems to boil down to really simplistic thinking that we have confounded with emotion, and I might add, missing the point.  I hear your opinion, but I want to know how you got there because I see the influence of blind emotion creeping into everything we read and see..

So here begins my second run.  I plan to plod through every gimmick and gadget WordPress has to offer until I know where I am.heading.FaulknerToday I inserted my first picture, albeit poorly spaced.  My dog Faulkner, who will be in all my Photoshop early adventures.  Tomorrow I plan a link.

ZERO TO ZERO

Z

I have always wondered what a hate crime is.  Does that mean that some murders are done without hate?

Heck since they are going to qualify crime as hate and it’s opposite then we should have STUPID crimes.

Yeah, when someone commits a crime in a stupid manner.  Like the bank robber that left his I.D. on the counter.  That would be qualified as “stupid.”  And like the “hate” crime should have a larger penalty.  In fact, they could further qualify the crime as an “evolutionary” crime.

This would require the death penalty to insure that future offspring would not carry the “stupid crime gene.”

Makes sense to me.

X-FACTOR

X

My wife and I had a great relationship.  We saw things, events and people from a similar perspective.  It is good for couples and friends to be similar in thought.

We often joked about how naïve and trusting we have been.  That held true until we labeled people with the X –factor.

The X-factor simply was our openly stating that a person possessed the X-factor. This is the common ability to fill in a hole in their thinking by just making something up; hyperbolizing, using numbers or names of famous stupid people or emotions to push their point across.

It takes two to tango.  We decided that from that day forward we would validate every statement made to us.  Up to that point we just accepted our friend’s statements as fact.  Our friends were educated, established members of the community and good speakers.  Many held political office.

I live in a foreign country were the expat community is smaller than my high school.  There is little challenge about facts for several reasons.  First, no one cares, secondly they are preaching to the choir.

I log in to the local FaceBook page which is graffiti for the elderly and see post after post of pithy sayings, cute phrases and the cats!!!  The posts are okay but the comments challenge sanity.  It is little wonder the future generations , their offspring, will suffer.

For example a large contingent of posts railed against the aluminum in vaccines.  (some still say they use mercury)  When I asked how much aluminum is in the highly sought after Himalayan pink salt, they thought I was joking.  They take in more aluminum in their sodium intake. But that’s apparently different.

Must be because they have the X-factor.
